Anna Grima is an inter-disciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited both in Malta and abroad. She currently lives and works in Malta.
Since 1995, her works show a great interest in the spiritual and metaphysical aspects of nature. Her paintings, drawings and sculptural works are the outcome of her contact with different cultural traditions during her travels in Europe and the Far East.
Her attention focuses on sacred geometry and iconic representations of the sacred. They are the expression of a universal truth.
Anna’s search exploring the middle ground between abstract concerns and the world of people, feelings and human concerns reflect the two extremes in nature. Anna has found a path to reconcile these two extremes and to walk the tight rope between the physical and the spiritual, with works that are both moving and dynamic. With insight she brings order from chaos and a positive energy of hope, strength and harmony; works that balance on the very edge of the subconscious.
